I’ve made my case for offline marketing before on Smart Boy Designs.
Because as wonderful and easy as online marketing is, we do still live in the real world: we go outside, we visit with friends, and we go out to movies or shows.
But this time, instead of just giving you ideas how you can promote your business offline, I’ve come backed with some actual statistics. For example, did you know that 88% of people who own promotional items can recall the advertiser? And that 59% of people who receive a promo product have a more favorable view of the brand?
And in a world full of banner ads and sponsored stories that may get ignored, it’s a lot easier to make a connection to your potential customers with a custom tote bag or hat.
Still not convinced? Check out this infographic that we put together from leading studies on promotional items.
In no way am I saying that online marketing isn’t relevant – it certainly is. But a great marketing strategy is a mix of both online and offline promotions. So the next time you head to a conference or trade show, you might want to consider bringing along some personalized pens!
Do you use any kind of offline marketing or promotional item? Any tips to share?

"You’re such a smart boy!" were his first accolades heard. So, it’s no wonder that this phrase became the title of his business, Smart Boy Designs.
