You probably are still trying to figure out the magic potion on how to make money online by promoting other peoples product. You tried everything that you could think of and that product that you purchased for $197 did not work at all. So, now you’re at the edge of giving up and saying that it didn’t work out and maybe try another route to making money online.

Just wait a minute now. Don’t give up just yet. I think their are probably a couple of more things that you haven’t tried out yet that is going to help you out greatly. You see its not the products that you’re promoting that is wrong. It’s the way that you are introducing these products to your audience that is wrong. You see to be a master affiliate marketer you need to understand a bit of psychology. Understanding when are the best times to introduce a new product and also how to follow up and extend bonus materials with the product that you’re going to offer to your lists.

If you have just been sending out emails in bulk and throwing out affiliate links in Twitter and Facebook please STOP NOW!

Take a deep breath and taking your hands off of that send tweet button now.

Now I’ll present to you 3 Psychology Methods Behind Great Affiliate Marketing.

Method #1: Position & Point

  • When you’re creating your campaigns to begin with you need to understand which ones you’re going to use to promote this product. If you’re going to use pay per click, email marketing, guest blogging, or all of the above. When you do this you’re creating a clear funnel of what you need to be focusing on so you could receive the best CTR (click through rate) on any marketing promotion that you focus on. Some times people forget to do this and they’re all over the place and they wonder why they don’t see the results that they want. You need to create a clear position of where you want to focus your marketing phases to and then direct your energy and focus on those methods ONLY.

Method #2: Creative Ideas Get You Creative Results

  • Just because everyone is using Twitter to market doesn’t mean its the best resource to use. Maybe sometimes you need to go the different route. If you’re promoting someones product then you need to get in touch with the creator and get a live one on one interview with that product to discuss their products benefits to your audience. Don’t be scared to do this. Their going to be very willingly to help you out to promote their product even more. If they’re not then they don’t value their affiliates and you should probably go and promote another product. Also, design an outline of what time frame you’re going to be using these marketing phases as well. If you have something set up that is creative and in order you’re going to receive less headaches and more results with your campaigns.

Method #3: Be Organic Not Robotic

  •  Be honest and genuine when you’re promoting these products. Don’t say that you have used the product if you never have. If you’re really wanting to get the best results try and purchase the product first and actually use it so you can get a true feel for the product and the key points that you enjoy. People can tell if you used the product or not when you promote the product. The more lively you are and more personal the better results you’re going to get and the more money you’re going to make for yourself as well.

People are not dumb anymore and just sending them an email doesn’t mean that much anymore and just tweeting out links doesn’t do much for you either. I have a client that has over 100,000 Twitter followers and he only received 50 clicks on an affiliate link and only 10 people purchased. That alone told me that just spitting out links doesn’t do much anymore.

You have to present this product as if it was your own and understand it from front to back. If you have a very personal and engaging list (which you should) then you’re going to want to give them the best opinion in the world. You want to create a relationship that as soon as they go onto the sales page that they’re going to buy because you have already warmed them up so good that the creator of the product only has to offer the BUY NOW resources to complete the transaction.

Thanks for stopping by Jeff. Going straight to the person that created the product is the best solution. It’s a bit scary at first because you might think that they’re going to shoot you down but most of them are willing to help because you’re pretty much asking them “how can I help you make money” and if they turn that down then bad on them. Have you done that before?

Great post by Justice! I particularly like the piece about being creative. I think the more creative, the more authentic and genuine you’ll seem about the product or service. That’s when the trust with the audience comes in…and everybody wins!

I’m an Affiliate Manager, and on the Affiliate side not too much just yet. I’m also a blogger in my personal life, and that’s where I like to be creative. Really getting out and experiencing products, brands, services, etc.
