The Story of My Nomination
Recently I was nominated for the 2011 Small Business Influencer awards under the Gurus category.
It was actually quite funny how I even found out I was nominated. My brother and I were looking up different names on Google, I searched for mine, and I found the nomination. I’m still interested to know who submitted the nomination, so if it was you, please speak up.
The following is a little snippet regarding the awards process – and what it’s all about.
Welcome to “Small Business Influencer 2011″ produced by Small Business Trends and Small Biz Technology and brought to you by Blackberry. Small Business Influencer 2011 honors companies, organizations and people who have made a significant impact on the North American small business market. In phase I, you nominate influencers. In Phases 2 and 3, you and an all-star judging panel will vote for the top 100. It all culminates with honoring the Top 100 Small Business Influencers in mid-August 2011, with an awards dinner to follow on September 13, 2011 in New York City.
It’s really a dream to be nominated for such an award and I still feel a tinge of unworthiness for being placed in such a category.
In short – I’m humbled and honored.
In countless ways.
How To Help?
Yes. You can help.
As you’ve read above, it’s going to take the votes of all those in my social community to help me get to the Top 100 influencer category.
Here are a few ideas in spreading the word.
