Have you ever wondered how to make money on Hubpages?
The biggest and greatest minds say all it takes is a great idea, a few interesting articles and a whole heap of traffic to starting to earn a decent living out of Hubpages, but before we start dreaming about the thousands we can potentially earn let us first focus on the major points.
- Content
- Articles
- Traffic
These three are the most important ways to when it comes to the big question of how to make money on Hubpages.
Content
This is a pretty general and broad statement, but to be honest it is the most important one of the three when it comes to how to make money on Hubpages.
People go to Hubpages to find useful or interesting articles. There is no point in creating articles like the 101 benefits of wearing socks if there is no market or demand for these articles or content. The best place to check if your desired topic is in demand is to go to Google Trends. With Google Trends, you can search keywords and see how many times people search for it and the like.
Secondly, you want to enter a market that is niche and not saturated, but high in demand. Things like fashion, technology and reviews have become over saturated which can make it pretty hard to break into that particular niche.
Articles
Now what we want is informative, keyword rich articles.
Whether you sell products or give reviews about products or even share advice, you want to have proper English as well as grammar and spelling. A reader can easily be turned off if your writing style is horrendous to follow or they see that your spelling and grammar is atrocious.
Remember the only way people can judge the usefulness of your content at a glance is by the way you write. First impressions are pretty hard to alter once set.
Traffic
Now this is one of the biggest things that most people fail at.
You can have great content as well as stunningly written articles, but if you don’t have the reader base then the Google Adsense revenue won’t save your soul or in this case earn you a dime. Generally, one can only get a good reader base if their content is exciting, in demand or unique. But sometimes one can even get extreme traffic due to irresistible offers or unique ways of approaching things.
If you decide to lure your traffic with attractive headings or stunning descriptions. Be sure that you try not to deceive the readers, because tricking readers could ruin your own reputation and could deter them from ever visiting things you post.
Start Your HubPages Now!
Hubpages is also one of the best places to write articles pushing products on websites like Ebay, that way you get double revenue one from the products you sell as well as the Google Adsense revenue you earn. It is not hard to learn how to earn from Hubpages, but you have to stand out from all the others if you wish to how to make a living with Hubpages.
Do you use HubPages? While using HubPages what benefit have you found in making money? Is it worth it? Is it beneficial in promoting your brand and product?

You certainly should! Combined with your Amazing Associates account and Adsense, it can quickly become rather powerful.
I’m a hubber for three years now. At first, i was just writing articles for fun (mostly about the local celebrities in the Philippines) until i realize that they do rank well in the search engines. When I am bored, i still try to at least write a few articles there since it does really generate income

It’s always a motivator online when you’re making some extra cash. Happy to hear you’ve found some success in HubPages Micamyx. If you’re dedicated and write those few posts every week – you’ll be rewarded with that passive income.
I love how well HubPages ranks in the search engines too. It can be a great “extra” content area for your blog – and help drive some traffic also.
Thanks for stopping by. Checking out your blog now.
I gave hubpages a try once, for a short while, but, what’s the benefit of using hubpages over your own self-hosted website to write your articles for?

You can make a little side income – but I think the real benefit comes from branding and traffic. It really depends on the quantity of posts you’re able to produce too. Slow writers have more of a difficulty writing for multiple blogs versus one.
If you can blog a lot – I’d recommend having your own blog, and then writing guest posts, write for HubPages and more. It helps to bring in links and traffic if done well!
So not looking at hubpages as an end, but as a means to an end…
Good thinking!

Do they like to take them off often?
I’ve always wondered how HubPages compares to Squidoo, which was founded by Seth Godin and other great minds. I’ve helped clients get massive traffic because, in the business world, most cling to the old numbers game of sales and marketing.. But I prefer having less visitors and spending more time with each one.
I feel that is more sustainable for me. Support the content and efforts of others in a community like Paper.li, Squidoo, and HubPages, then have them return the love. From there, if your content is great, they’ll link to you, tell others, and keep generating referrals. I feel this is a more realistic approach for folks, especially for those just starting out.. Because even the best SEO and social media techniques will not guarantee you thousands of visitors a day (or even a month)!
Anywho, I’m very curious about HubPages but I know I still have to put more of an effort on Squidoo before moving into something comparable. My goal is to get more lenses covering a variety of topics, while having a strong focus on the things that present upsell opportunities. Currently, I get income from affiliate links, ads, and the usual residual stuff.. But the real money tends to come in when you set up conversion funnels that lead to premium content such as eBooks, private rights label information products, webinars, and the like; basically, anything you can automate so that you can focus on nurturing the relationship and networking with others.
In short, it’s the ‘ol engaging versus mass marketing argument.. There’s no right or wrong answer but I feel that we see a huge drop-off with otherwise promising creatives just because they get intimidated by the lack of growth in terms of mere numbers.
What do you all think?

Interesting that I never replied to this comment, Yomar. I don’t know why! Great comment though.
HubPages is rather interesting. You certainly need to put in the time and effort to produce some quality content – and then watch as it brings in some traffic, links and such. It’s very powerful when used properly. If you’re just throwing crap up there, it isn’t going to work well at all.
I just found your site today. I am very impressed I know I will learn a lot reading your posts.
As far as Hubpages goes, I do have some articles on Hubpages. I have not made a lot of money from it however there are backlinks to my sites from there and I think that makes a difference with SEO.

Thanks Dan! If you think of anything I might address specifically in a post, let me know through the contact form and I’ll be happy to do so.
Whether you’re bringing in much money from HubPages or not, I think the SEO value alone is well worth the effort in writing the content.
