I turned my music off in order to give this book the justice it deserves.
365 Thank Yous by John Kralik, is a fantastic book. At 228 easy-to-read pages I was able to consume it in one sitting. And it was a good sitting at that!
John begins by explaining his life at age 53. It was fast failing. His business was being ravaged, his relationship with family was disintegrating; and he had quickly become overweight. In short, he was very unhappy.
In an attempt to make things better, he decided upon a simple act. It would take a year. The year a simple act of daily gratitude changed his life.
His decision was to simply write a thank you note to someone in his life each day. It was a way to show gratitude for those around him, and promoting in himself an attitude of gratitude. What resulted in his life, as he describes, was nothing short of a miracle. His firm began to “firm up,” his relationships improved, and he gained a better perspective.
This book was heartwarming. As the cover review states, “Profoundly honest and uplifting.” I would agree. It was a great look into the life of someone trying to be and do better. Don’t we all seek for the same?
I’m one for changing after reading a book – so I’m on my way to doing what John Kralik recommends. Write more thank you notes.
It’s been a few days – and three notes of mine are already in the mail. Look out. You could be next.
The book is available via Amazon and other retailers.

Hey Christian,
Good stufff. The wind from a butterflies’ wings… It’s amazing how one little step can lead to a another and another. We don’t realize how one act, no matter the size, can have impact a life. Sometimes it’s our life.

It seems that every time I change my life in order to better serve others – I’m always rewarded in return. Although it’s not always the goal, I believe a simple law is that our own lives improve and grow when we’re putting that good into the universe.
