In January 1994, Swarthmore student Justin Hall created the very first blog.
The history of blogging is an interesting path. The term, Blog, is an abbreviated version of “weblog,” which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information.
It is the blend of weblog which links to articles on other Web sites, usually presented as a list of entries in reverse chronological order. “Blog,” was coined by Peter Merholz in April or May 1999 where as, Open Diary launched in October 1998, soon grew to thousands of online diaries which discovered the reader comment that became the first blog community where readers were allowed to give their comments to other writers’ blog entries.
Early weblogs were simple in manual and contained the updates of components of common websites. However, it evolved to facilitate the production and maintenance of web articles which were posted in reverse chronological order that made the publishing process from smaller to a much larger, less technical, population.
What’s a Blogger?
A Blogger is the one who writes blogs whereas blogging is the activity done when you are intending to write a blog or comment on something specifically written. When created, Blogger was the first free of charge service that facilitated the creation and maintenance of a personal journal. The creation of this Blogger is said to be the first step towards the appearance of the blogosphere.
Bloggers Get There Quickest
Oftentimes bloggers lead the way in bringing key information to the public, while mainstream media has to follow their lead.
The effect of this story gave greater credibility to blogs as a medium of news followers. Oftentimes bloggers lead the way in bringing key information to the public, while mainstream media has to follow their lead. Blogs are the platform where the bloggers can express the content of the blog in the most simplest and understandable language – which is a lot easier to understand for people who just need a short view on the content of the blog.
But more often, news blogs tend to comment on some of the material that has already been submitted by the mainstream media.
Blogging As A Job
Blogging has been one of the easiest and interesting jobs that one has done when it came into the limelight of eminent people. Bloggers working to make money were easily attracted to blogging and even the bloggers became committed to this. Since the beginning, millions of weblogs have been created for benefiting us and their authors.
The term is now pronounced as web-log or we-blog, or shorted to blog. The criteria has never gone through any major changes. We can see that blogs have also evolved into personal diaries or journals. Even now, many journal-blogs still include a list of other similar sites that can provide with more information.
Today, the internet gifts us with obtaining knowledge quickly by blogging.
