The history of blogging is an interesting path. The term, Blog, is an abbreviated version of “weblog,” which is a term used to describe web sites that maintain an ongoing chronicle of information.
It is the blend of weblog which links to articles on other Web sites, usually presented as a list of entries in reverse chronological order. “Blog,” was coined by Peter Merholz in April or May 1999 where as, Open Diary launched in October 1998, soon grew to thousands of online diaries which discovered the reader comment that became the first blog community where readers were allowed to give their comments to other writers’ blog entries.
Early weblogs were simple in manual and contained the updates of components of common websites. However, it evolved to facilitate the production and maintenance of web articles which were posted in reverse chronological order that made the publishing process from smaller to a much larger, less technical, population.

A Blogger is the one who writes blogs whereas blogging is the activity done when you are intending to write a blog or comment on something specifically written. When created, Blogger was the first free of charge service that facilitated the creation and maintenance of a personal journal. The creation of this Blogger is said to be the first step towards the appearance of the blogosphere.

Blogs are the platform where the bloggers can express the content of the blog in the most simplest and understandable language – which is a lot easier to understand for people who just need a short view on the content of the blog.
But more often, news blogs tend to comment on some of the material that has already been submitted by the mainstream media.
