The difficult lies in creating SEO friendly images.
We all know the SEO value of alt tags. The alt tag attribute is used for XHTML and HTML files/documents to specify alternative text (alt text) that will be rendered when the element to which it is applied cannot be rendered. This becomes very helpful for the visual impaired, and search engines rank you higher with targeted alt tags.
Sometimes we forget. We forget to include an alt tag to every image, and thus we are docked search engine points for doing so.
The good news is that the problem can be fixed.
The answer comes via the SEO Friendly Images plugin for WordPress created by Vladimir Prelovac.
The following, from the WordPress plugin website, offers a little description of its capabilities.
SEO Friendly Images is a WordPress SEO plugin which automatically updates all images with proper ALT and TITLE attributes for SEO purposes. If your images do not have ALT and TITLE already set, SEO Friendly Images will add them according the options you set. Additionally this makes the post W3C/xHTML valid as well.
I installed this plugin one week ago – and I’ve seen incredible results. The plugin automatically pulls keywords from your blog post title – and includes them in your image alt tags. A perfect recipe for ease of use & better search results.
I was pleased to know that by using this plugin – I wouldn’t have to go through all past posts, and update my forgotten alt tags. It does the work for me.
Traffic has also increased by a large percent – and I’m sure it will continue it’s upward swing.
When you find the chance, get the SEO Friendly Images plugin, and begin the magic. Don’t let this fantastic plugin make you lazy though. You’ll find yourself forgetting alt tags even exist!

Hi, Kevin Stacey here..
First off, this post is extremely thorough! I don’t see too many bloggers going into detail like you have…that’s the mark of a blogger who knows their SEO plugin. For optimization, free plugins like All in One SEO Pack are really great as it lays down the basic SEO foundation for a Wordpress site, but every blog is different and nothing works best for everyone.
I always suggest looking at a side-by-side comparison of the best seo plugins for Wordpress in order to make an informed decision of what the best plugin is for that blogger and their website’s specific needs.

Great article btw…I’ll be referencing this post on my main blog.
