The Motorola Droid was launched this week, and with it – hundreds of new reviews and tech blogs have already preached its many strengths and weaknesses.

The following stories include my choice of the nine best first look insights into this great new phone.

  1. First Look- Droid Phone by Motorola – Chris Brogan makes a personal review of the Droid, and why he likes this new phone.
  2. Motorola Droid hands on! – Some first-look specs on the Motorola Droid.
  3. Motorola DROID review – Joshua Topolsky of engadget gives a terrific review of the Motorola Droid; filled to the brim with quality photographs.
  4. Motorola Droid Review – A simple yet informative review of the new Motorola Droid.
  5. Motorola Droid Review – A great first look into the Motorola Droid.
  6. First Look: Verizon’s Droid – Bryan Sherman gives an in-depth comparison report of the Droid, along with posting many other insights for this new phone.
  7. Motorola Droid Review - The byline of this review is simple. If you don’t purchase an iPhone – buy a Droid. Here Gizmodo puts out an excellent review along with clear, helpful photos.
  8. Motorola DROID review – Peter Ha of Time shares with us a speculative review, along with specs, on the new Motorola Droid.
  9. Motorola Droid – PC World’s firstlook into the brand new Motorola Droid.

You tell me: Will you be trying the Droid? Or will you be sticking with your iPhones, BlackBerries & other miscellaneous SmartPhones?

I'm using a Blackberry – but Dru, I'd LOVE to be using an iPhone as well. The Droid looks pretty awesome too though. :)

I've had one since they first came out, and yes I was one of the tards that bought one for $500. I've had one ever since, and even though I used to be a phone flopper, as I call it, I don't see myself switching anytime soon. Unless they come out with another stinking model of the iPhone. Then I guess I'll just have to upgrade! -heh

As of now I'm using a BlackBerry Curve. It's decent and does its job, but definately lacking in the app department compared to iPhone. ;)

Sticking with my iphone. I just can't imagine going without it. They are going to have to come up with something spiffy that can damn near fly to get me to leave my iphone.

Haha – and I think it's going to be quite a while before our phones allow us to start flying!

Although I wouldn't doubt iPhone to be the first! lol

One of my friends had a new Droid today – and it looked & performed great. Extremely fast as well. He found it incredible useful as all his email, docs, calendar, etc…are based off of Google. This was a huge advantage and plus for him.
