5 Visits, Per Post, Per Day

5visitsperpostperday 5 Visits, Per Post, Per DayWe always hear from the realms of internet wisdom that content is king – when it comes to blogging. This advice is perfectly sound, and true. When individuals ask me how to develop lots of quality, inbound traffic – I tend to reply with the fact that good content will bring good traffic. The reason being that every post is yet another entryway for visitors to reach your site. One more post to be ranked in search engines. Another feather added to your hat of knowledge & expertise.

The 5 Visits, Per Post, Per Day Formula

For the sake of easy numbers – let’s formulate that each post your write for your blog will bring in 5 visits per day, every day. I know this number may be quite low for many – but I believe it’s fair. With proper search engine optimization & post promotion – 5 visits per day from each blog post should be easy to come by. Some posts may attract a much larger audience each day – while others won’t attract more then a few wayside browsers. The 5 visits, per post, per day rule – is a rough guesstimation.

Playing With the Numbers

So now we’ve established that for every post – we’ll receive another 5 visits to our total visitor count each day.

For example – if I’ve created and published 100 posts – my blog should be able to attract around 500 visitors daily. If I’ve only published ten posts – then I should only hope to accumulate 50 visitors per day. Work with the formula – and see if your visitor count relates to the number of posts you’ve published.

The number of visitors your posts attract on average can be greatly improved if you focus on the following:

  • Optimization of post SEO.
  • Increased visibility via Twitter.
  • Linking posts within your blog.
  • Focusing on quality over quantity.
  • Writing posts of reasonable length. (300 words or more)

The Takeaway Message

The real message I’m trying to relate here is that content truly is king. The more posts you create – the more visitors you’ll begin to attract. 5 visits, per post, per day is a wild estimate – but it shouldn’t be a number that is impossible to attain. With some knowledge of proper post SEO and blog promotion (as mentioned previously), reeling in 5 visitors per blog post each day should be a goal worth working for.

As you continue to increase the reliability and importance of your blog – your posts will have the ability to attract hundreds of visitors daily.

This is what all people should do when starting out with a blog, break down their goals into managable bite sized chunks.

Does it go that well for you? I have 1 blog and I have about 10-20 visitors per 50 posts. I think I should work on SEO – content isn’t always the key…

This is Original because it is Realistic. Many Blogs I read come up with the Claims How to make $100 a Day with Adsense ,When it should be How to Make $1 a Day because most people Struggle earning that much because they have very little content and are too busy Promoting their blog everywhere when the have noting on it.Even if a post Get’s 1 visit then it is one visit that might not have been.I think every post I write a 1 cent to start with because it’s there and there is one more chance to get traffic to my Blog. So if I have 100 then I have 100 chances to Get some Visitors. At first I found it hard to write Posts trying to think what people would like to Read. but with every Post I write it Seems to Get easier because I know I am increasing my chances of getting Traffic. 20 visits a Day is Harder to get than Most people think 50 is Very hard but If you know how to get 50 visits a day it will be Easy to Get 100.Thanks For the Tips

Thank you for all of your thoughts. What’s important, I believe, to remember is that each post needs to be a “quality” post. Decent length, good grammar – and interesting. A post won’t attract attention if it’s sub-par.

SEO is another aspect that must be looked upon. With everything in working order – 5 visits per post should be easily obtainable.

And as some of you mentioned – each post is yet another chance or gateway into your blog – so the more you write – the better chances you’ll have of attracting visitors to your blog.

Great thoughts. Thanks for reading!

Even with the not-so-pretty blog I have, it has GOT to be the content because I have increased, tripled in fact, over the last month or two. I was bowled over to get a Blog of the Week award but didn’t know how to display it – I figured I’d had enough of a boost just knowing I got it and didn’t need to display it – you know how computer illiterate I am! Glad to see YOU are back to blogging – I missed you!

For a brand new blog, the 5 visitors/post/day is a little high. When you are just starting you have to realize that it takes a while to build up traffic and subscribers. You shouldn’t expect a certain number of visitors right away, or else you are setting yourself up for disappointment. Just keep creating quality content and in time the traffic will build up. Of course it helps a lot to get external exposure to your blog. The more links you get, the more traffic you can milk out of each post.

Appreciate the kind comments and thoughts. Yes, in the beginning, 5 visitors per post/per day is steep. It’s a rough number – but I do believe it can be accomplished after a few months of blogging.

The main point that needs to be garnered here is that content needs to be created on a routine basis.

Very realistic and informative post.. I mean I am really getting hardly 20 visits per day and I am so frustrated. I have around 150 posts (which is ofcourse very less) and content too is far original. I dont know where I am making a mistake. And when I see ppl making 70-100 dollars a day, frankly I feel bad. Now I got the realistic view about the actual thing from your post. Hope I get more visitors.

$70 dollars a day is a lot of money though for doing little unique work. the site you have is decent but unfortunately i see no reason to visit it more then once or twice. i tried the stuck pixel website you suggested and unfortunately it doesn’t seem to have worked :(

The pixel thing is not a sureshot way to solve the stuck pixel. But the applet i mentioned does the job but the problem is you never know when. Secondly, I appreciate tht you visited my website. If only you could tell me why you wont like to visit it often? Thanks.

unfortunately there is no real reason to regualrioly visit a website for random tips you hope you may want. i’d only ever visit it if i needed to know something, googled and yours was there, then i’d only ever return if it happened again, i wouldn’t bookmark and think of yours as a resource for tips and tricks to check first, and then your problem is there is so many people doing that.

That’s a S-M-A-R-T goal. I would emphasize that using social media platforms such as twitter and Facebook could really make a great difference in the traffic you get per day. After posting a content, make it known and reachable to all by tweeting it and announcing on Facebook.

great thoughts here. It would be such a waste to spend all this time on social media platforms, and then to just waste it by not sharing your content on those same platforms. Sharing is necessary!
