Beware The Google Home Business Kit Scam

by Christian Hollingsworth on August 14, 2009

in Random

Recently there’s been an influx of scams going by the name of the Google Home Business Kit. Through this so-called “dream” job you’re able to post links to Google daily – and earn thousands of dollars weekly. It’s portrayed that the only way to get into the program is to purchase one of these kits for around $3 – and then begin earning your cash daily.

It IS A Scam

The reason why I warn readers regarding this scam is that a few individuals who follow me on Twitter recently inquired if I’ve had any experience with this Google Home Business Kit program. I warn thee now: it is – indeed – a scam. Once you signup for one of these services, promising riches galore – you’ll usually be charged via the fine print that many miss. You’ll also be scammed for your kit price & shipping/handling.

google home business kit Beware The Google Home Business Kit ScamAccording to Google these link scams are usually brought about by Asian countries with lazed copyright laws – and Google spends countless man hours trying to annihilate these fake money making systems. The only way to make money using Google is – and will always be – through Google Adsense at www.Google.com/Adsense.

Avoid Scams – And Work Harder

Instead of chasing these fantasies of hundreds of dollars per day – with little work – spend your time working on a long lasting, viral blog. Begin blogging about what you love – and soon – the success will come.

Have you been affected by these online “link” scams or the Google Home Business Kit scam in the past?

You are absolutely spot on. Everyone, just like in brick and mortar life, should read the fine print. I checked out on of these last week and in the very fine print you would only pay $2 upon sign up, but then $69.75 per month! Yikes, think of how many who didn’t read the fine print.
You have a very interesting as well as useful site here. Thanks for the post.

They have a new one (The same with another name) Twitter Cash Kit Is a scam beware! It all started at the-daily-reporter.com, a sales site dressed up to look like a real newspaper site. It pretends to be a news story about Twitter Cash Kit, the revolutionary way to make money online using the ubiquitous Twitter.

When you click the Twitter Cash Kit link, you … Leer más’re taken to explodingwebtrends.com, which takes your info and signs you up for a membership to prosperuniversity.com for about $50 per month. It’s there that you’ll allegedly learn how to spam all your Twitter followers until they quit following you out of sheer disgust. (I’m speculating here. Maybe there really is a way to cash in on Twitter and make $7k per month. And maybe I’ll win the lottery tomorrow.)

More proof?…http://bit.ly/1oJsBk

Yeh, I’ve seen this scam as well. What’s really surprising is how many people fall for this and hand over their credit card details without questioning the methods behind it.

They tease you with lots of promises but they never pay you. That woman gets paid for every person she gets to click on the home business site. That is why she is telling everyone to try it.

I just avoid all these miracle systems. If it is so easy to earn that much nobody would share the system. I remember “pay-to-watch-ads” or pay-to-click-emails. I was about to gather 98% of money needed to get paid and my account miraculously vanished. Maybe sometime someone will develop good system but I don’t think anybody would share it!

You’re all right. Lots of teases, empty promises, etc…are all reasons why we must be weary when dealing with these scams. If it sounds too good to be true – most likely it is! :)

It is unfortunate that there so many people out there trying to take advantage of others in today’s economy. Especially for honest on-line marketers like myself. There are legitimate businesses out there. Just be sure to do your due diligence and you won’t get scammed. Great post by the way.

Hi I have just been taken in. Was curious and signed up for $1.97. Did not really read what they sent me as I was not overly interested. Just found out I have been billed fees of $70 a month by 2 companies. Spent 3 hours cancelling everything. Their fine prints was in my spam folder.

I got suckered into this. Didn’t read the small print.
Being unemployed like so many people out there and thought this would be
great.
I paid for the kit and then did a websearch on ‘google home kit’ to find out more information on it. It was a scam. DID I FEEL STUPID!!!
Automatically cancelled my credit card that night before anything else could get pulled out of my account. Thankfully i was only charged for the kit..Which i have yet to recieve and more than likely never will.
BEWARE!!!

Hi all, i was previously a scam victim when i was overseas. After that “expensive” incident, i came to realize a golden rule in ensuring my own safety: GOOGLE SEARCH it! & remember to add a text “scam” behind it.

For example, this so called Google Home Business Kit, GOOGLE search for “Google Home Business Kit SCAM”. Well, this is 100% guaranteed that you will find out the truth ;)

In short, the truth is out there, just GOOGLE search, YAHOO search it, etc.

My 50-cents.
Merv.

This is a total scam. I went to the website to see what was up and, indeed, there it was in black and white. I gave my email info and my name, but NO credit card info. Once I saw it was a scam, I tried to leave to sight, but they tried to block me. I did leave the site, WITHOUT giving any credit/debit card info. This is a total scam…..WATCH IT !

Hi

My husband was scam by the google one it
took over a year to get it all fixed. He had to cancel
his pay pal credit card change his bank account because
they are linked together. Lost close to $1000 that we needed.

They had found the person behind the first one but he moved
so they (usa) couldn’t touch him.

It is sad that people can do this and get away with it .

Hey Bonnie. Thank you for sharing your story although I’m sure it’s probably difficult. It’s so very sad that there are people like this. Wherever there are great tools there will always come the scamming crooks. Just sad they have to fall into the internet venue as well.
