Twitter Follower – Interview with John Chow, the Creator

John Chow, the online money making guru behind JohnChow.com & TTZ Media – has unveiled a ground shattering Twitter product.

This latest product – is Twitter Follower. Twitter Follower is a database of Twitter users who will follow you if you follow them. By following the users in the database, you can quickly and effectively build your list and avoid that dread zero in the follower count. Twitter Follower also has a handy mass unfollow tool – allowing you to unfollow all those that don’t follow you – with one click of a button.

Recently, John Chow took some time out of his busy schedule to answer an interview with us – and the following is what he says about his new product.

Interview with John Chow

How did you come up with the idea for TwitterFollower.com? Was it born recently – or have you been planning on building this site for quite some time already?

I had the idea for it quite a while ago but only recently got around to creating it. The biggest problem was finding a coder who understood the Twitter API.

If a person actively uses Twitter Follower – what do you think the potential could be for increasing follower size?

Everyone on the Twitter Follower database will follow you if you follow them. Right now, there are 24 pages of users and growing daily. Many people who have used Twitter Follower are reporting very good results. The best I heard was 100 new follower in 60 minutes. The number will increase as the site gets bigger.

Do you have plans to continue revising the site with bigger, better features?

Yes, future plan will allow you to better target follower by allowing them to put themselves into categories. Right now, Twitter Follower is one big list. In the future, it will be divided into targeted sections like cars, technology, marketing, etc.

Is there a limit on how many people you can follow daily using Twitter Follower?

The limit is whatever your Twitter limit is. We do not place a limit on how many people you can follow. However, Twitter will limit you to 1,000 per day to a max of 2,000 followers or 110% of your follow count, whichever is higher.

Why is Twitter Follower such an awesome benefit for Twitter users? Does it really work?

Twitter Follow allows you to quickly built a Twitter list so you can avoid negative social proof.  Unlike RSS, Twitter do not allow you to hide your follow count and many people won’t follow users if they have no followers. By using Twitter Follower, you can quickly build a follow list and create positive social proof.

So far, reaction to the service has been very positive. A Twitter search for TwitterFollower.com shows many favorable tweets from people who have used the service.

Is a service such as Twitter Follower frowned upon by Twitter?

I am not sure. However, in order to create the site, we had to get Twitter to whitelist our IP so Twitter Follower could do what we wanted it to do. The fact that Twitter whitelisted us means they at least don’t disaprove of us.

Thank you for your time, John.

Thanks!

Hi,

I just registered myself with twitter follower. Wow, I clicked on “follow John Chow” and within seconds I have 2 new followers already.

I have a question here. What happens if I get too many followers and I am unable to keep up with all of them? I do not want to be obliged and bogged down with too many followers to keep up to. Is it alright to block followers when I know my limit is up? I have other things to look into other than just twitter.

And also, I tried to read your other replies to my comments but was only able to read one about the spelling mistake. Would it be alright with you to reply me via my email? This way, I will definitely get to read your replies. Thank you very much for all the great sharing.

My email address is shrine32002@hotmail.com.

I am a fan of John Chow and now of you.. because you have the chance to interview him!

I also register to his tool for Twitter, which is awesome. It work for me! From about 30 followers I had, I now have over 70 of them now, and it’s only a beginning! It’s actually this way I find out about your Web site, on Twitter… And now I am following you!

Keep up the good work!

Serene – glad you enjoy Twitter Follower. As for not being able to keep up with reading Twitters, that’s up to you. If you want to read every single Twitter from the people you follow – then I’d say only up to 100 would be feasible. If you like to scan and browse through a list of Tweets, than you could easily handle more. It’s just all up to personal preference.

Thanks for visiting the site Sunny. Glad you enjoy the blog. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the future.
