With the recent hospitalization of Stephen Hawking, I was immediately struck with the realization of how short this earthly life truly is – and the importance of bringing something to the world. Each of us has a special talent and love for topics in this amazing world, and through blogging – we’re able to share this love with others.

In the case of Stephen Hawking – he’s a superstar in the world of science. A theoretical physicist and math genius, Hawking has worked to brighten our minds with his lectures and books for more than 40 years. All this, while coping with a debilitating motor neuron disease.

What do you offer the world through your blog? Are your helping to share your knowledge with the endless readers found on the internet? Do you spread your work of art and creation? Blogging is unique in that any topic may be divulged and spoken upon. If you want to write about dogs, you can. If you love flowers – blog about it. The possibilities are endless.

What I’d like to leave you with today is the thought that your blogging topic choice should be a communal love. Life is too short to not love what you do – so don’t blog about something you obviously don’t have a passion for. Choose a topic to write about that brings a fire to your soul. A topic you’re able to talk about for hours on end – with a fellow colleague or friend. This love, ultimately, will translate to a more successful and longlasting blog.

Stephen Hawking obviously has a passion for science – and this love truly emmenates from his work and brilliant mind.

I am sad about his hospitalisation. Apart from blogging, I also love science and as far as I have read about him, he is truly an amazing man. He can not move himself, can not talk but still, he is there for science.

Good blogging lesson derived from his story!

Hawkins passion for science reminds us that we should all find a passion, and you’re right, life is too short as it is. To live it without a passion for something is an utter waste of opportunity. This man is such a hero to me – pure inspiration. Great blog!!!

I couldn’t agree more with the “Choose a topic to write about that brings a fire to your soul. A topic you’re able to talk about for hours on end – with a fellow colleague or friend. This love, ultimately, will translate to a more successful and longlasting blog” part. You write incredibly well btw, so I really enjoy reading your posts. Thanks for comment and keep writing!
