I agree with you entirely !
I started blogging since Sept. 2008 and have come to realize that a lot of fervor and dedication is required; moreover as you mentioned one needs to develop on an idea and expand on it. At the same time the key is to enjoy it.

I enjoyed this article, but the point I agree with the most would be that of picking a topic and sticking with it. There’s nothing more annoying than when a blog constantly changes what it centers around.

so my problem is definitely with quitting. but not because i wasn’t seeing results – i really don’t care wow many people read my blog – i was writing because i love to write. i quit writing because of going back to school. ok, really that’s just an excuse. the truth is i couldn’t think of anything real to write about anymore. parenting, design, politics, community are all pretty scattered and honestly i was getting bored with those topics. i can’t stand writing fluff and i hate publishing short posts. i think the best piece of advice i got from your post here is to pick a single topic and to think of it as a marriage. my only problem is narrowing it down! thanks for the post, though – it certainly triggered some thought
