Internet users travel cyberspace at incredible speeds - and only a few seconds are permitted in grabbing a visitor’s attention.

When writing articles for any web endeavor - it’s best to focus on developing simplistic writing, while still generating meaty, useful pieces. Visitors don’t have time to analyze an article in order to pull out the pertinent information.

Using my irritating/useless title of “Curious Collection of Compound Conundrums“, as an example - think of websites that have been experienced in the past that only bring confusion and frustration to readers.

Titles not targeted towards an article’s content, annoying riddles, and inaccurate data - are all attributes of articles that only bring maddening, annoying experiences to website visitors/readers.

Keep It Simple Stupid

Many have heard the popular acronym, Keep It Simple Stupid. This too applies to writing articles for use on the web. Rid your work of extra words & sentences that don’t have any value - as we can consider this as writing “shrapnel“.

Please be warned that keeping it simple doesn’t mean to oversimplify ones work; as this can lead to an article without any substance or use to readers.

Study Hard - Reap the Rewards

Like all writers - I too am focusing my studies towards creating straight to the point, catchy articles. Improving these skills take time, patience, and a willingness to learn from others.

By focusing a majority of my collegiate work towards English, Journalism, and Critical Writing classes - I’ve greatly improved my writing style by ridding my work of superfluous information. Though I still have vast room for improvement - I’m slowly beginning to climb the labor-intensive ladder of writing expertise.
